What do these corporations have in common?

Netflix
Ford
Tesla
T-Mobile
Duke Energy
DISH Network
Metlife
Dominion Energy
United States Steel

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.

This is what a corporate-rigged system looks like.

Dammit, my eldest kid and I are planning a National Parks mini-tour for this summer. I'm going to need to buy one of these monstrosities, aren't I?
The 2026 park pass is… cringy.

Terrifying and disgusting and *insert whole list of negative adjectives here*
If Stephen Miller had had his greasy little Nazi hands on this post any more, he'd be in jail for assault and then immediately been pardoned by the president

This glorious, righteous pettiness is what I needed on this blustery Wisconsin morning.
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

Sen Mark Kelly isn’t a far left radical. I wouldn’t even label him progressive. From his record, he’s fairly moderate.
Not the easiest target in politics. We all need to stand up for him or we’re gonna fail this regime’s test.

"Oops, I accidentally spilled the beans re: a super-shady plan to yoink Bolsonaro out of the custody of a sovereign nation and into the US." -Trump, probably
Pretty convincing evidence here that the Trump administration was planning to jailbreak and provide asylum for Bolsonaro -- and that Trump inadvertently revealed the plan.

And this, as the now-cliche goes, would have been a paralyzing scandal for any other administration.
Trump appears to blurt out secret plan, not knowing it's already a bust

To anyone who thinks it’s an “exaggeration” that the rule of law is in danger…

U.S. Senator Mark Kelly is being investigated for the “crime” of telling people not to commit crimes.

We’ve fallen far.

This is who she was.
Passionate in her beliefs. Fiercely loyal to her friends. Never afraid to let you know exactly where she stood. The best.

Fun Fact: I remember arguing with her over which of us hated Piggy the most. I was sure I did. She disagreed. It remains unresolved...
Carrie Fisher was the blueprint.

*looks around house*

Yep.
Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

The library gods smiled on me this weekend. Both the physical copy of a book (public library) AND the audiobook version (school district library) came available at the same time. Being able to switch back and forth between the two as needed really sped up my reading.

This feels true on a deep level for me.

I started high school in 93 and graduated college in 01. Musically, this is the music of the era to me. Historically, 9/11/01, not 12/31/99, marked a major change. Culturally, Star Trek Voyager (a favorite) ended its run in 01.

Everything changed that year.
This is correct. The 80s didn’t end until Smells Like Teen Spirit.

I keep reading what I think are hyperbolic humor posts about the Trump-Mamdani meeting, but then... they're not hyperbole.

The whole thing was just THAT absurd.

If you're pressed for time, maybe "Instant Pot the rich."
The rich are probably gamy and stringy and like any such meats would benefit from slow, low cooking. Thus, the new slogan: "Sous vide the rich"
This is propaganda meant to deter us from eating the rich.

Say all the negative stuff you want about seventh graders, and it's all likely at least a little true, but if you manage to win them over to your side, you could lead them into battle and WIN. They're very go-big-or-go-home. #teachersky

Look, I love mocking an emotional tantrum as much as the next person, but this is coming from the damn PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. His J16 minions stormed the capitol on his whim. You know at least some of them are taking this as a lawful, righteous edict.
