Yeah... I'm not going to be able talk for over an hour tonight...
Due to some dental work leaving half my face numb today, we're skipping the podcast this week. Find out what Helen and Gav thought of Nuremberg and Running Man on our Letterboxd accounts.

Only in America do you drive 30 miles and pay 45 dollars for someone to just order more bloodwork, get a new referral to yet another specialist, and then get mad at you when you say you feel like you're just getting passed around.

So I've borrowed Oliver Stone's Alexander on DVD from the library but I accidentally got the director's cut. Pray for me.

The thing is, if they did live action remakes of films like Treasure Planet and Atlantis, or even Sword in the Stone, I think we'd be happy with that. Or Muppet remakes. Something rather than copy & paste.
Live-action remakes of animated movies might be the most creatively bankrupt Hollywood trend of my lifetime. Nothing worthwhile about them.

My daughter is binge watching The Nanny and I'd forgotten that in the 5th season Ray Charles married Fran's grandmother, and there's a scene where Ray Charles and Fran's mother walk onto a set and she says "This is my daddy".

I truly don't understand this whole mindset that people ONLY listen to the music that was put out when they were young. Especially considering during the 90's we had that whole Gregorian chant craze while also listening to grunge and ska & rock & pop. 🤷‍♀️

All of this. If there's one thing I hate more than Paul McCartney, it's voiceovers.
I'm not a fan of gimmicks and the whole internal monologue thing didn't really work for me. It's too tell not show, too exposition-heavy, but mostly, I just didn't believe that this is what Shona and David would be thinking. #corrie
