For context, the NFL fined Cam Heyward for writing "Iron" and "Head" on his eyeblack to honor his dad's memory. Please don't think I'm sticking up for the NFL though, fining players for either of these things is unmistakably shitty
For people unfamiliar the fine would be the same if it said “go bibi Israel forever”, you’re just not allowed to write stuff on the eyeblack. You can still be mad though just be mad at the extreme nimbyism, it’s no-politics-at-the-dinner-table taken to the 1000th degree

If the GOP reconciliation bill passes, ICE gets through FY2029:
- $45 billion for detention, on top of the current annual budget of $3.4 billion
- $14.4 billion for transportation and removal, on top of the current annual budget of $750 million
- $8 billion for hiring/retention
- Billions more.
