Saquon Barkley being insubordinate and churlish
December 26, 2025 at 6:29 PM
Over the years we’ve routinely seen offenses stress the Bills defense with motion and shifts (especially in the run game)

In 2025, the Bills D against motion is 22nd in EPA/play allowed & 27th in +EPA rate (47.3%)

However, the Eagles offense is 31st in motion/shift rate league at 51.4%

DeVonta Smith (6) at the bottom of the screen with some “beat the hands, beat the man” for the TD

WR vs DB battles mimicking DL vs OL battles is one of the cooler & subtler things in football
December 26, 2025 at 5:45 PM
Courtland Sutton (14) playing through the jam at the bottom of the screen and Bo Nix hitting him in the hole
December 26, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Cruel irony that Jordan Poyer has been ruled out vs Philly after having his best game of the season vs the Browns. His run fits were on point & crucial for the Bills defense, and that suddenly becomes an area to watch for this Sunday vs the Eagles. Especially run fits from depth

Tampa 2 Robber/Invert is one of my favorite coverages in football. Washington runs that here and Dak Prescott beats it with an absolutely beautiful ball right down the pipe to KaVontae Turpin, who never has to break stride. Very aesthetically pleasing
December 26, 2025 at 3:01 PM
Tyrell Shavers (14) as the up man in the bunch, with a nice release and an even nicer rocker step to create separation on his break. Pass unfortunately falls incomplete

*Also, nice pass off from the post Safety (33) and CB (27)*

Haven’t been this geeked up for a Sabres game in a LONG time. Please don’t break my heart
December 24, 2025 at 2:43 AM
Jordan Poyer (21) running this play for the Browns on 3rd & 3 and beating the RT to the spot to make the stop. He avoids the WR, gets past the RT, and finishes in space
December 23, 2025 at 8:58 PM
Touchdown saving tackle from Jordan Poyer (21) in the 4th Q
December 23, 2025 at 8:48 PM
Another encouraging rep for TJ Sanders (98) vs a double team

The RT comes in high so Sanders has leverage, is able to reduce his surface area, hold at the point of attack, & attach to the RG. Might make the stop in the backfield to if he doesn’t get held
December 23, 2025 at 8:32 PM
TJ Sanders (98) playing gap & a half technique vs the RG (74). He gets his head in his primary (B) gap, reads the RB’s track, then sheds to his secondary gap, plays through a hold, and helps make the tackle

*Taron Johnson (7) occupying the C also helps*
December 23, 2025 at 5:20 PM
Nice play recognition and effort from Joey Bosa (97) leading to an INT

He diagnoses the boot, doesn’t get pinned inside, works outside, sees it’s a half boot & Shedeur reach his drop, spins off the TE, and gets his hands up for the deflection

The Buffalo Bills run D in Week 15 vs CLE

32nd in success rate allowed (61.3%)
29th in EPA/rush (+0.30)
27th in yards after contact/rush (4.20)
15th in yards before contact/rush (0.96)
T-3rd most runs of 10+ (6)
24th in stuff rate (9.7%)
23rd yards/rush (5.2)
24th in yards over expected/rush (1.25)
December 23, 2025 at 1:57 PM
Creative coverage look for the Bills

-show 8 man pressure/Cover 0 & drop to Tampa 2
-Safety Jordan Poyer (21) as the cloud CB into the boundary
-Nickel Taron Johnson (7) as the deep half to the field
-CB Christian Benford as the deep half to the boundary
December 23, 2025 at 2:41 AM
This is a nice sign from TJ Sanders (98). He’s able to eat the block from the RT by staying attached to the RG, playing with leverage, and corkscrewing/fighting through. Him gumming up that double allows Bernard (8) to scrape over the top & fit
December 23, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Great effort and pursuit from DaQuan Jones (92) to run down the ball as the Bills defense gets got by a screen on a 3rd down blitz. This could’ve gone for more as several Bills defenders almost wall themselves off in space
December 23, 2025 at 2:09 AM
Another forklift from Greg Rousseau (50) off the left edge earlier in the game with similar results. Gets the LT off kilter and plays right through him to heat up the throw + get a QB hit
December 23, 2025 at 1:59 AM
Josh Downs has some of the most insubordinate & churlish route stems in football
December 23, 2025 at 1:54 AM
Good physicality from Deone Walker (96) vs the RG (74) on this 3rd & 1. Could’ve (should’ve?) drawn a flag here
December 23, 2025 at 1:45 AM
Feels like the precision on peanut punches has never been higher than it is now. Also feels like the attempts are higher too
December 23, 2025 at 1:41 AM
Philip Rivers looked as calm and as comfortable as could be on that drive. Communicating protections, knowing where to go as soon as the ball is snapped, playing on time, and throwing with accuracy. Sheesh
December 23, 2025 at 1:30 AM
This is a really good play from Cole Bishop (24) in space. Play recognition, urgency while still being under control, angle + athleticism, and a formed up tackle for the finish
December 23, 2025 at 1:08 AM
Against CLE the Bills once again used their Mesh tendency in high leverage situations to create an open look

The Bills anticipate man from CLE on 3rd & 4, give a slightly different presentation vs last week, and get Khalil Shakir wide open on the pivot/whip
December 22, 2025 at 9:31 PM
This next layer later in the game is 🤌

Blast Counter YF presentation from the Bills again + they show it on the snap, but it’s a PA pass

The entire CLE 2nd level triggers downhill (look at 49 eyeing Gilliam (41) & following him), & leave acres of space
