Yeah, I agree with Jenny Nicholson when she says Disney superfans will put up with a LOT, but not endlessly, and when THEY check out, Disney is gonna faceplant hard, and it will take years to get back to what they were.
When you think that you don't have to worry because the fans bring the money no matter what (which they did for some time, so it wasn't just pure arrogance)... Well, that is when any company starts growing really shitty, both morally and quality-wise.

I thought the thing about wish was that it was mid (especially the songs). AI wasn't even a discussion for movies when it came out because generative AI making anything animated look good was still a huge rarity and development for the story and designs was in the works too long to be from gen AI.
what’s insane is that while it wasn’t perfect I thought more people were going to rally behind Wish because of the parallels to people who used organized religion to control others but everyone went “it’s ai” and left it to rot
