People need to understand- self serving, attention whore, Democratic politicians like Gavin Newsom who throw vulnerable populations under the bus in a cynical attempt at Carville style triangulation are not the solution to fascism, they are what got us here.
Techno Fascists threaten to destroy world economy, if you don't use their shitty product.

The whole government, especially those in the most powerful positions, know Trump is mentally incapable of performing his duties as POTUS and is doing real damage to our country, but are choosing to not act because doing so will damage the ongoing implementation of their fascist political project.
Beyond the fact that this bugfuck insane letter was written and sent to the leader of Norway, the State Dept agreeing to distribute it to other heads of state instead of objecting and honorably resigning or at the very least planning some kind of coverup is a sign of deep institutional collapse.
So this is why Trump is fixated on Greenland. Vengeance strikes again. This guy is dangerous.

It's tied in with the idea that artists have to suffer to make great art, which is a deluded inversion of the hierarchy of needs. People struggling to pay bills then becomes a "starving artist" gag, so you're inherently blamed for your own struggles in this really strange way.

I must admit, being a Democratic Socialist, I do have some appreciation for Trump's easy dismal of property rights, we do have disagreements about when, and to whom that concept should be applied.
Not the sort of letter committed to paper by a well man. "Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace"

To bad I can't reply, this seems relevant. Last year he vote to to give "express gratitude" to ICE. One of only 3 MI House Dems to do so. One of the others Haley Stevens is running to replace Peters in the Senate. LOL bsky.app/profile/pain...
"ICE is out of control and beyond reform. We must fundamentally change the way we approach immigration: it’s time to abolish ICE."

See, Dems? You can actually say it, and even draft legislation about it! It's possible to do!

ICE keeps saying the people protesting it are being paid without any evidence, but we have receipts showing that the people *defending* ICE are absolutely being paid.

And yet we only hear lies about the former on cable news.

This again is a thing that most workers in the US don't understand. That Universal Health Care isn't just about cheaper health care its about increasing worker momently and freedom. It seems that even advocates fear bringing up this point.
Health insurance not being tied to your employer is a big part of it - you're not literally threatened with a slow and preventable death if you protest

The "article" here should be "why do so many people in rural areas believe things that are easily provably false?" as opposed to "why are we so divided?"

It's almost like the former might give you the answer to the latter.

Not only creating it, but selling the ability to produce child porn as a service.
I am once again reminding you all that the UK government introduced an Online Safety Act that is effectively a porn ban on most adult porn websites, but is dithering over banning a website that is actually creating child porn.

The problem is that the child porn website is owned by the richest man in the world, who no one wants to pick a fight with, and even less so now that he's aligned with the president of the U.S., himself a maniacal sex criminal. Nothing gets fixed without breaking the political power of big money

Where America is at: Its government “investigates” the victim of a government killing.

Its government refuses to investigate the killing itself.

That seems like a police state.
Sorry, what? The federal “investigation” into ICE’s killing of an American is investigating the *victim*?

How would a domestic army be much different?
Sanders: I am very worried that ICE is becoming a domestic army for Trump, and this goes way beyond the issue of immigration. It goes to the movement of this country toward authoritarianism and fear.

There are two kinds of policing. One where officers have to fear for their jobs if they are rude to citizens, and one where citizens have to fear for their lives if they are rude to police.

The two kinds always exist side by side, separated by geography, race, and class.
