Vast Journey - an experimental game about needing to use your imagination for the 30 minute drive to a local national park.

I wrote scripts to generate the json level data for this. Hand building the level in the wareware editor was not feasible.

Really keen to ready end of year editorials and recaps this year. 2025 feels like it has been a big inhale before…something. I’m keen to learn if I trace that feeling in the work of others.

There are always more games than time to play them. The whole genAI thing will make it easier to filter that list down a bit at least.

Just finished this one. A really rewarding experience, leaving you in the dark and making you piece your environment together from thin bits of information. Really funny and horrifying story told through scraps of chatlogs, too. Absolutely worth your time and money.
first post on bsky, might as well plug my game?

a few days ago i released PROXIMATE, an indie horror game where you explore an abandoned deep sea lab but your only form of navigation is a shitty AI visor built by incompetent techbros

The next result of AI appearing in everything is that I’m just not engaging with as much of everything anymore. That paperback from the library is as good/bad as it was 10 years ago. It’s not being changed by this stuff.

Register and book a time. I’ve historically had hurdles to giving but now have no excuse. If you too have O- blood, we need it most and can give to all. Make an actual difference.

All the fun of gluing tiny parts to plastic models and then painting them, but with 98% less Catholicism.

I really feel like this is an untapped market.
