I like to do jokes and get very shrill about politics.

Felt this like a punch in the gut. I quite frankly would not be who I am without the foundational education I received—really, the awakening catalyzed—by the women’s and gender studies courses I took as an undergraduate who was only just learning to think for herself.
"Texas A&M University said on Friday that it would end its women’s and gender studies program, and that the syllabuses for hundreds of courses had been altered under new policies limiting how race and gender ideology may be discussed in classrooms" (gift article)

TO: World’s Biggest Pedophile
FROM: Elon Musk
SUBJECT: RE: Pedophile party on your pedophile island

Any other famous pedophiles going to be there? Looking forward to doing a bunch of pedophile stuff btw.
OK, so Musk was planning to go to Epstein's island, but it's not like he went there with the intent to go to a wild party or something, it was probably just some business. Excuse me, an email just came in.

*Reads:* "What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?"

For an administration whose incompetence gets a lot of headlines, this graph shows an unmitigated policy success for their desired outcomes

Minnesota based Independent Journalist GEORGIA FORT has been arrested for filming a protest of the church pastor that works as an ICE manager. SPREAD THE WORD! Georgia has been doing outstanding reporting from ground zero!

One decent rule of thumb would be to live your life in such a way that Bruce Springsteen doesn’t write and record in like 72 hours a “Fat Shithead Clogged My Toilet” about you (a @leharrumph.bsky.social classic)

I need everyone to see the video that radicalized me. The video I talked about in the Atlantic interview.

I know MLK and non-violence are considered nerd shit by many on the Left, but imagine if just one armed leftist has taken out just one ICE agent in Minneapolis, at any point over the past two weeks. Public opinion would be very different, and Trump would be emboldened.

I got fooled by someone who is famous for being a conman until it was too late. Here’s why that’s actually smarter than seeing it coming:

This is from the NYT masthead editorial about the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. The highlighted line invalidates not just the editorial, but the very idea of newspaper editorials crafted by the consensus of a board. Better to publish nothing at all than to publish a line like this.

we have all shown such a principled, universal dedication to compassion and nonviolence and yet it’s never enough for them. They’re looking for a preemptive excuse to blame us and recommit to the infinitely funded police state if and when the news cycle moves on

I knocked on so many doors for this motherfucker, and I can't understand how his dilettante ass becomes only more milquetoast with each passing second.

Go record a podcast with one of your many beloved celebrity friends about how you love all the hottest jams on Spotify, you weak bitch.
The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

We all like to "protect our peace" and find lighthearted fun in the dark times, and maybe that's a way to persevere, but I just thought about someone asking me what I did during the rise of fascism, and the idea of the answer being, "I bravely still joked online about gooning," seems like a mistake.

This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.

I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.
