Ope. Four troops in riot gear are staged in the south Whipple lot. The staff sgt apparently in charge said it’s their uniform today when I asked him why he’s in riot gear. He also said the other troops had a different mission, which is why they aren’t also in riot gear.

So it looks like the bigger contingent of troops with the convoy also is partly dressed in riot gear. No big goofy helmets that I see but they have their little shin guards on.

Ten trucks staged there with at least 20 troops. They don’t appear armed and there aren’t any weapon systems on top of the trucks. There’s a few humvees parked around the area as well.
HCSO is also largely absent from Whipple this morning as well. Just a couple parked at road entrances nearby.

A byproduct of using your military to protect the president’s private army is people turn on the military pretty quick. The National Guard looks like they came expecting a fight at some point because they’re all in various states of riot control gear.

Taking a closer look and these trucks appear full so somewhere between 20-40 troops staged here right now. Looks their leadership is talking with a DHS agent but it might be HCSO. I cannot repeat enough how fucking weird this is.
