I dont talk about it often but there really is something deeply dehumanizing about not being able to get married to the love of my life even though we both want to and have wanted it for years. Even if you just rely on Medicaid in AZ at least if I get married my partner's income will count as mine and I'll lose Medicaid even though there is no world in which we can afford almost any of my healthcare out of pocket. I cannot survive without Medicaid so we don't get married and it sucks.
