Relatedly, something I've been talking about since the first Indivisible events: stop taking photos of people who aren't you, stop taking photos of crowds, stop taking photos where faces are discernible UNLESS you're taking a photo of official misdeeds. Otherwise, you ARE the surveillance state.
Don't sit or kneel in front of riot cops. Sitting puts your head at rubber bullet height. Sitting makes it hard to run away from vehicle attacks.

Don't point protesters out to the cops. Don't hand protesters over to the cops.

Mind your business. What did you see? You didn't see shit.

I think a lot of people today are so far removed from the past that they forget that infant mortality was once so high that it skewed life expectancy down to 35.
Too many vaccines in the first year?Your child is 44% more likely to survive to one year if they are vaccinated than if they are unvaccinated.

Good to see a shift in WORDS from congressional Republicans – now let’s see ACTIONS.

The GOP must end their vacation, bring the House back to Washington, and work with us to stop the shutdown of health care that’s looming for 24 million Americans.

Democrats have BEEN ready to get to work.

The largest group in ICE detention is now immigrants with no criminal record, with more than 16,500 currently being held.

Don’t fall for Trump’s lies about going after the “worst of the worst.”

This was never about legal immigration. It was always about cruelty.

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

The right wing believes that violence is bad when it happens to them, but when it happens to people they deem undesirable to society they not only don’t have a problem with it but they actively reward the people who carry it out

The Dems can “condemn” violence all they want. The right-wing establishment is still going to target them any opportunity they get. Any liberal condemnations just expedite the process of justifying their own destruction.

Regardless of your feelings on the shooting, there's no doubt that Trump didn't need it to continue enacting mass political violence against the civilian population.

Political violence is committed every day against protestors, immigrants, and trans people, and they rarely get any justice.
I'm genuinely confused at so much of my feed being filled with "Don't celebrate Charlie Kirk being shot **because** this gives Trump the go ahead to violently crush opposition." Did you mean to add "faster" to the end of that sentence? Like, he wasn't waiting for an impetus. It's happening already

I don't feel any particular joy in Charlie Kirk getting shot. It's not the sort of thing I celebrate.

But I also struggle to care when someone gets the very thing they've wished for openly, on multiple occasions, in multiple iterations, for literal years, b/c they thought it would be someone else.

So a malignant white supremacist got shot today. Anyways, here’s the obituary for Melissa Hortman, the Minnesota lawmaker, who was assassinated in June and who had spent her life trying to build something better as opposed to trying to tear everything down. Let’s remember Melissa

The audacity and success of the Collins-Murkowski political strategy of “I was bamboozled and actually oppose every vote I have ever made” never ceases to astound me.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski said she feels “cheated” after she won a concession in the tax and spending bill to protect wind and solar projects, only to see the Trump administration issue orders that she said seem designed to quash such projects.
Sen. Murkowski, feeling ‘cheated’ by Trump actions against wind and solar, says she’ll go to bat for Alaska projects
Murkowski won a concession in the Big, Beautiful Bill to protect tax credits for 12 months for wind and solar. But she said a recent presidential order and Interior directive undercut those plans.
