I feel like Youtube as a podcast platform rises as a result of the diversity of podcast distributors and pod catchers while Youtube has become synonymous with video and something that is supported by a massive singular company (which is what it is). It also had search and discoverability.
I understand that YouTube is the dominant cultural delivery method of our age but i genuinely don’t understand it. I don’t want video of my audio entertainment. I listen while I’m doing other things. I don’t even know what the use case would be for me.
