As usual Trump himself flails disastrously through a scandal, if the pattern of previous scandals holds it will be the political media and friendly judges on the courts who clean it up for him
If you were a foreign correspondent tasked with reporting on the day to day national politics of another country, you would assume what’s happening now is the active collapse of the administration

I dream of a day when corporations have to reapply for every tax break, contract, and grant every six months, with a requirement that it is the CEO who must complete the paperwork, and attest under penalty of law that they personally did so.
The shutdown was an excuse, not a reason, to go after SNAP.

SNAP recipients have to re-apply either every 6 months or year. Onerous process, with almost no fraud.

There are no shutdown-related requirement for SNAP renewal. But it would predictably result in low-income families going hungry.
Brooke Rollins says on Newsmax SNAP participants will have to re-apply for the program.

Details are still unclear.

This is a 19-paragraph article to which 7 journalists contributed; it contains not a single hint that there is any impropriety in the President of the United States directing the Justice Department to investigate his political adversaries.

Like clockwork, the Patriots allow their opponent to march down the field and score on the first possession. This seems to happen every game.

Hopefully, they lock it down after this. As they also tend to do every game.

Nice of Tom Brady to leave his ridiculously oversize coat for Drake Maye

Really digging these Patriots unis. The helmet needs a bit more color, a dash of red somewhere to give them some life. But the jerseys are fire and with the matching socks and white pants. They're pretty sharp.

Bonus: The game is broadcasting on local ABC in Mass. Not locked into Prime streaming.

hey I wonder if the political movement that takes "accuse the opposition of your own worst acts" and shot up a pizza place it falsely claimed to be the epicenter of a liberal child sex abuse ring and is currently at defcon 1 trying to block release of files about a sex abuse ring did something bad

This is great. I'm a sucker for languages and I love seeing names in their original language. They should do this in pro sports leagues, especially the NHL for me.

Like when David Krejčí was on the Bruins, it would be badass to see Krejčí. Fans can figure it out well enough. And now with Pastrňák.
love when college football players get to wear non-Latin lettering on the back of their jerseys, here's Western Michigan defensive tackle Mustafi al-Garawi

The only redeeming quality of programs on Science Channel called, like, "What on Earth?" are:
1. Kind of like a travel show, since 'weird' shit happens around the Earth
2. The soothing and somewhat measured tone of the narrator, regardless of how fucked up the subject is and how it's misrepresented.

I don't follow the NBA, so I don't know how fans feel about these NBA Tournament courts. Can the players see them? Can only TV viewers see them? I don't understand what's going on here or what's real or not.

However, what I think is happening is the players are being pushed out as less important.

Really love that the sandwich guy was on video whipping a sandwich at a CBP officer and right away was like "damn right I did that shit, I hit that pig with a sandwich" and the Justice Department tried to bigfoot the case and couldn't even get him on a misdemeanor because fuck you
