This week, I withdrew from a speaking engagement at a public university because they sent me a list of prohibited “words & concepts.” I will not humor this censorship. It does a disservice to the stories I’m discussing & the audience, who deserve unfettered access to information & conversation.

it just seems plainly clear to me that if you serve the country in any capacity, civil or military, and you are not a conservative white man, the Trump administration wants to make the workplace as hostile an environment as possible so you remove yourself

It's a censorship engine designed to promote ideas that Elon Musk likes and suppress ideas that Elon Musk does not like. I really don't get why this evident fact - that Musk openly admits! - is so hard for so many people to understand
An X user asks Elon Musk why they’re seeing tweets from left-wing lawmakers.

Musk: “Because we are failing very badly with the recommendations algorithm. Doing my best to address this.”

You see it’s violent to share photos of ICE goons, but not to post photos of judges you call extremist.
Your sole purpose is to impose your extremist agenda and unravel the Republic. Go back into your cave, Voldemort.

A big issue in the last general election was … the govt talking to Facebook about removing content that violated the terms of service.

Dang - how bad was the Border Patrol invasion in North Carolina?

None other than Thom Tillis himself is blasting DHS for gross overreach, and demanding lists of those detained, property damage caused by CBP agents, and their plan for restitution.

The loss of an elimination status means that measles will once again be considered endemic to the US, an embarrassing public health backslide for a vaccine-preventable disease.
CDC data confirms US is 2 months away from losing measles elimination status
Elimination status is lost if the virus spreads continuously for 12 months.

I don’t know I follow multiple filmmakers who make excellent content about the craft, analyzing scenes, tips on writing, shooting, etc the content is out there in more granular detail than DVD extras provided
DVD extras / behind the scenes stuff inspired a whole generation of folk to make stuff, myself included.

A shame we’ve lost some of that inspiration in the streaming era.

i'd say it did. the public put a group of thieves, vandals and extremists in office last november and they promptly went about destroying everything that might work to limit their ability to loot, steal and inflicting pain on the people they hate
This whole NYT account about the weaponization of DOJ is beyond disturbing. Kinda feels like the US government fell in January.
