This is how ICE agents responded after watching a mother of three bleed out in her car after they shot her multiple times in the head.

The Americans and it isn't close
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

In 2026 I want all of the decent people to remember one thing.

You aren’t meant to be this disciplined, this self-sacrificing to survive. The environment is supposed to support good living. We can have that. You are not a failure. That is politics.

That is all.

educators know both the labor of education (our working conditions) & the labor of learning (the process we work to facilitate) better than any AI booster. We know what is being sold to us & why. We have been on the ed tech merry-go-round before

abolish ice. theres no middle road on this and democrats will have to be held to it.
ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

The whole thing is the epitome of anti-Christ in a very fundamental way
There’s something in here about how after Jesus was born, Joseph fled with Jesus and Mary to Egypt under the cover of night…for ~4 years until Herod died.

I'm a little weirdo who loved a Blue Book exam. Walking in to find out which prompts made the exam and then filling up the blank pages with arguments about things I've learned?! An excellent way to finish a course with a sense of accomplishment.
Does anyone else bristle at this framing? WSJ says blue books are “torturing” students with hand cramps, and “nobody likes them.”

Listen, students have been outsourcing everything to AI and cheating their way through college. Blue books should be celebrated as a return to authentic human learning.
They Were Every Student’s Worst Nightmare. Now Blue Books Are Back.
Cheating with ChatGPT has become a huge problem for colleges. The solution is painfully old-school.

I've been on a single-author binge habit these last few years. 2024 was the year of @gradyhendrix.bsky.social . 2025 has been the year of @tkingfisher.com. What should 2026 be? (Though if the fifth Saints or Steel book drops, I might just have to stick with T. Kingfisher) #booksky

Honestly I always figured I’d want plastic surgery, but the older I get the more I like my face. It looks sad and tired and I am sad and tired, I feel like it’s really weird in the cursed year of 2025 to be getting surgery to make you look refreshed and happy, cult shit honestly

Real loser shit from Ruben Gallego's leaked texts, and to think I was so excited to help elect him. 🫠

But I also would like to say that Democrats don't let their women be hot is a soup-for-brains take when we have AOC and they have Mar-a-Lago face.

Again, I don’t want to get too personal but the most tepidly political, structurally vulnerable people in my life were protesting ICE all week. The juxtaposition here is just wild.
The degree to which the Democratic Party is failing to meet this moment is staggering. And INFURIATING, when contrasted with the courage on display from ordinary people with far, far less power & protection.

I have been teaching college-level writing for 15 years, and this current moment has been considering using my QTR benefit to get a law degree and leave teaching entirely. I'm so tired of AI slop consuming so much of my time and energy. It has killed the joy of teaching and learning.
