I have said this a number of times before, but at risk of being irritating: What we did with “AI” is take every single cultural institutional bias in our language and bake it into the foundation of future tech. There is not, and can never be, an unbiased version of a large language model.

I say this in every single one of my classes, and inevitably someone doesn’t listen and they read the introduction and ruin the book for themselves. So many students have spoiled the end of Passing because they don’t listen to that simple advice!
Extremely important never ever ever to read the introduction to a novel before you finish it. I cannot think of a more important thing!

While I appreciate the women writing threads about M/M romance, I would love it if y'all stopped describing these readers and authors as "women (and women-adjacent)". Nonbinary folks aren't woman-adjacent or woman-lite. It's a huge umbrella with a lot of variation. We are our own thing.

Well. . . we should reframe this, because the reality is that you have to be taught HOW to think. It's a skill.

Well. . . we should reframe this, because the reality is that you have to be taught HOW to think. It's a skill.
