Trump: have you heard of this? It’s my new favorite phrase: the means of production. Isn’t that great. Means of production. We have to control it and are looking at some very strong stuff to do this

TRUMP [after spending 5 minutes with Zohran]: surplus value, it’s a very wonderful thing, very wonderful, and they’re stealing it. Can you believe that?

We’re going to be looking very strongly at the bourgeoisie, what they’re up to

The Falcon rocket exited development for its first commercial deployment in 2012 and the success of this program is basically the only reason why everyone assumes this idiotic superheavy Starship program will work eventually. It's pure faith completely detached from engineering or design principles

And this was supposed to be the first of the 'new' boosters.

Gd, Starship is an utter clusterfuck of a program.

Basically unrelated but I was extremely active on the official Sony System of a Down forum circa 2003, 2004 and the day I learned to post pictures using markup, I posted so many that mods banned me for a month.
we've lost the sacred art of turning 100 page forum threads on the general discussion board into epic flame wars

...then the camera designed to always have a (relatively) warm planetary surface filling the entire field of view has to take a picture of a very distant, cold object. The planning & processing s/w makes assumptions about what kind of pictures HiRISE takes and how MRO moves, so some is done by hand.

I wanna invent time travel and then require every high school student to take a class called "All The Shit We Fixed Before You Got Here" where they tour smog-filled US cities, polio wards, pre-vaccine hospitals, buildings with no safety regulations, kids working in mines, etc.

With the Top Golf news, it's pretty wild. There’s a whole industry dedicated to buying up stuff you love and killing it. This should be the premise of a dystopian novel, not like a fact of life.

We had @superantonio64.bsky.social spend a week with Microsoft’s new Copilot PCs to see if you really can just talk to the computer. Reader, these are famous last words. www.theverge.com/report/82244...
