Shelley Duvall's estate auction is tomorrow. It includes many personal items and Hollywood artifacts, among them her collection of fairy tale books (some signed by Arthur Rackham and Edmund Dulac). We watched Faerie Tale Theatre so many times as kids.

This is so terrible.

The Combahee River Collective was founded in Boston in part because Beverly Smith, Barbara Smith and others saw how police weren't investigating and press was ignoring epidemic of murders of women in Roxbury and similar neighborhoods.

This is a similar lack of regard, sadly.

A 13-year old child stolen from his parents by the police without a word.

A mother finds out her son is gone, handed over to ICE, taken to a facility 500 miles away.

So many people on the wrong side of history.
ICE kidnapped a 7th-grader with a pending asylum claim and spirited him out of state without notifying his parents, seemingly with the cooperation of the local police in Everett, MA.

2. The fact that they felt comfortable alluding that it was okay to let a drug addict die in custody without medical attention is INSANE
A lawsuit alleges a Black postal worker died after officers ignored clear signs he was suffering from a massive stroke, believing his medical emergency was drugs

The suit says guards left him helpless on a jail cell floor in his own urine for hours

you have three years to find a person who doesn't suck.

Get to it
Prepare yourself for a Dem nominee (him or somebody else) with whom you don’t agree on everything (Gaza, trans issues, death penalty). You have three years to get the fuck over it because anyone the Dems offer up is better than this or something like this.
Ok, you know why I don’t like Gavin Newsom? You know how in While You Were Sleeping, Peter Gallagher’s family all talks about how he rescued a nest of baby birds as a kid, and later he admits he knocked their nest out of the tree with a rock, then made sure everyone saw him rescue it?

That’s Gavin.
