In the last episode of Heated Rivalry, Ilya says he'd like hotdogs for lunch. But lunch gets derailed and I bet that the whole time he was hungry, and trying not to think about hotdogs. Luckily, he gets homemade spaghetti, the only food better than hotdogs. #heatedrivalry #hotdogs

2025 was pretty alright. I released 2 books that I'm quite proud of. Moved in with my partner and started making a very cozy home. Started learning a new language. Realized that I really love quilting. Took a college class for the first time in 10 years. Got really good at cooking.

And even chicken pox is far from being some benign childhood illness. After you get it, it lives in your nervous system for life, and pops up again in your later years as shingles, which can be excruciatingly painful and lead to blindness.

one of the truly depressing things about the culture war over masks is that we simply refuse to treat them as a tool to mitigate the spread of illness! it should be normal to wear a mask in public when you don’t feel well even if it’s not about saving anybody’s life!!!!! why would you mock that

These people aren't masking for shits and giggles- they are the immunocompromised, elderly, and others who are, or believe themselves to be, particularly vulnerable to infections of airborne viruses such as sars-cov-2, influenza, etc.

i miss like 2013 era of podcasts when the occasional podcast with video would also have a list of links or images on the post on their website for the episode so audio listeners could see any visual references made. RIP.
