China’s actually installed *so much* wind power they’ve had to slow down a little as they couldn’t hook it up to the grid quickly enough.

also, side note, but why are these deranged outbursts by a deranged racist & misogynist ‘embarrassing’ for Starmer, who’s trying to prop up a security alliance in the face of madness, and not ‘embarrassing’ for the journalists working on these stories who’ve done so much to sanewash Trump?

We have made the decision to formally close our X social media account. Once a vibrant platform to promote the interests of authors, we feel X is no longer a trusted place for balance, community support, and reliable information.

TBH I think you're all overreacting about a speech that was, essentially, a holding pattern while the govt tries to work out what the fuck is going on and liase with allies.

Staying calm and keeping level probably a good thing taht this point.

I havd't used X in a long time but I only deleted my twitter account around Christmas, 'worrying' someone would create an account with my old username and pretend to be me.

Then I realised that was absolutely demented thinking.

There are now at least 365 UK MPs with accounts on Bluesky – more than half (56%) of all MPs

🔴 This includes nearly 70% of Labour MPs
🔶 Nearly 90% of Lib Dem MPs
🟢 All the 4 Green MPs

🔵 But only 5% of Conservative MPs
➡️ No Reform MPs
More MPs are coming off X and I assume that means they will be posting more on here

@politicshome.bsky.social has a handy list of all the MPs on Bluesky

Please point out anyone who is missing!

I, for one, cannot understand why men like Rupert Lowe are opposed to banning X, despite it assisting sex offenders, paying people to invite the foreign powers to invade the U.K, and allowing state-sponsored cyber warfare against our democracy.

It's a real mystery...🤔
