I’m usually not a painting kind of person, but #ofmd inspired me to pick up a brush for the first time in nearly ten years. These were supposed to be season 2 watchparty decorations, but since they’ve become just regular decorations (because I refuse to take them down).

This is still one of my favorites — the stomacher of my cake topper gown. It’s cream dupioni silk, embroidered in gold silk and backed with linen. There’s the tentacle motif at the top (and message in a bottle), and below Barbados lilies. It’s crusted with pearls and glass and gold beads.
