I worked in the library when I was in undergrad. When it came time to graduate I had no idea what to do with my degree in Latin so I was like… guess I go to library school??

Worked in academic libraries for years, and jumped to public in 2020. Now I run one and I love it when politics aren’t. This.

I have wanted to be a paleontologist my whole life. I decided animation would be wiser? Went to school for two years to be an animator. Tons of debt later I realized I wasn't cut out for it. Then one day someone told me "shut up and do it" when I said I was afraid to make comics. Now it's what I do.

What’s the lore behind your choice of a career path?
Began teaching trampoline at a local day camp at 13. Best job ever, ended up running the program eventually. Not many trampoline jobs out there. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Realized I preferred the company of kids and loved teaching. Retired after 40+ years.

this page of izzy hands' diary was actually recovered....
izzys opening monologue from s1e6. it is written in early modern english so as to be period-accurate. there is a crossed out heart with "ET + IH" written in it. at the bottom are two stick drawings: one is of izzy stabbing stede (who is crying and bleeding out). an arrow pointing at izzy says "me (real pirate)" and another at stede saying "stupid twat". the second drawing is of ed with his arm on izzys shoulder, stede dead behind them. an arrow pointing at ed and iz says "partners in crime". it is important to note that izzy draws himself taller than stede and only slightly shorter than ed.
