Did US Special Forces just inadvertently confirm there was a CIA operation in Venezuela?
CNN has added this update to their story about the alleged CIA drone strike in Venezuela:

Oh yeah I never mentioned that I did watch and enjoy #CodeGeass: Lelouch Of The Resurrection. It was a bit of a weird way to end what was promising as a next chapter of Lelouch's life, but, sure. He was already dead, I guess, so why not end with his mortality...Ending? I dunno lol

So I am definitely enjoying #CodeGeass: Roze Of The Recapture two episodes in, but I do think it's got a lot of, "Oh look the bad guys rose again!' contrivance-crutching.

Like how the hell did they pull this off?

And, yeah, maybe the show'll tell me some of that, but where is the old cast, again?

See, this is a Will Stancil take I can agree with.

...Just as long as we're also looking at resistance to him *since* 2021 as part of that, "This will end and we'll get back to normal" approach.

...And just so long as we acknowledge that, now in the wilderness, Dems are going back to 2017-2021.
I dunno, I just think people who consider Democratic leadership from 2017-2021 and think “this is what optimal resistance to Trump looks like” are absolutely deluding themselves. In many respects, Trump literally faced tougher scrutiny from the GOP-run Senate and his own DOJ than from Democrats.

I'll reiterate: If you have any information about Trump's supposed Christmas Eve strike on a facility in Venezuela, I can be reached at marisakabas.04 on Signal.
New: Trump could be referring to theories about a fire on Christmas Eve at a Venezuelan facility that deals with chemical raw materials. Social media users began speculating it was a US attack, but a local reporter near the scene said "People were calm and no one mentioned any strange theories."

Mmmmhm.

Trusting Putin over Zelenskyy?

Well...Sorta. It's probably more "In on the conspiracy."
Reporter: Is there any evidence?

Trump: I mean, you're saying maybe the attack didn't take place? It's possible, I guess, but President Putin told me this morning it did.

Well, #CodeGeass: Lelouch of The Resurrection was a fine enough film. Post-credits scene is odd but sure.

Next up is Roze of the Recapture, I guess?

if your product can induce suicides, I think it's not sufficient to put a label on it saying, "warning, don't use this for suicides."
In case you needed one more reason not to use AI …

The CEO of ChatGPT is blaming a teen’s suicide on his failure to follow the terms of service:

Adam Raine, 16, told ChatGPT he was suicidal and the AI bot told him his feelings were valid and even provided suggestions and detailed instructions.
OpenAI says teen's 'misuse' of ChatGPT is to blame for his suicide, because he broke the TOU: 'Users must comply with OpenAI's Usage Policies, which prohibit the use of ChatGPT for suicide or self-har...
The lawyer presenting Adam Raine's family calls the response "disturbing" and I have to agree.

A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.

When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.

This is outrageous.

Me: Goes for a walk, feels pretty good.

Me: Putting ice back in the freezer, back slightly bent.

Back: Locks up, 3rd in 2 weeks.

Me: Literally yells in pain.

Fuck this. Just fuck this. With all I went through to fix my neck this year, for my lower back to go out is just a slap in the face.

Oh, what's that? Grok is now making murder-the-President propaganda? Oh, neat. I'll spare you from the actual images ( @yasharali.bsky.social has them if you're curious), but...Yikes.

Not surprising, almost more surprised it took this long, but, yeah. Just kinda happening, eh?

Gotta say, I'm digging into the #CodeGeass Lelouch of the Resurrection movie, and...While it certainly isn't bad, Crunchyroll did a dogshit (or AI) job of subtitling the English track. Lots - looootsss - of errors, especially just missing-text-altogether during speech.

Finished #CodeGeass and just holy fuck. They wrapped up most things pretty solidly if I'm being honest.

Any strangers have advice on how to ease into the Lelouch Of The Resurrection films? Should I sit through the Rebellion ones even if most of it is the same?
