Timor Leste play their first international cricket match tomorrow, against Indonesia.

As one of my first political campaigns was against the sale of British military jets to Indonesia for use against he Timorese independence movement, it makes me a little emotional to see them play each other.

Worth saying that despite asking for more than 12 hours we’ve had nothing back from Labour on this
A Conservative MP tipped as a future party leader has been condemned for saying large numbers of legally settled families must be deported, in order to ensure the UK is mostly “culturally coherent”.

I'm genuinely gobsmacked that the Home Office think this is a good idea. How do they envisage "training" technology to verify the age of a young person from (say) Darfur or Iraqi Kurdistan? They might as well get the calipers out and start doing phrenology
Given what we know about AI reproducing existing racial bias, and the inaccurate and racist results of facial recognition technology, this has to be there with the worst proposals the Home Office has ever made, and believe me, the bar is high

A lot of discussion is understandably taking place about the rules on multi-club ownership groups.

The best approach would be to ban them. They have no legitimate purpose - creating two-tier football in pursuit of allowing rich people to buy sporting advantage.
