I'm not sure it's in the self interest of America's tech bro billionaires to suggest that we bring back public executions to punish the most destructive people in our society.
A Palantir billionaire just called for public hangings.

“It's time to bring back masculine leadership to protect our most vulnerable,” writes Joe Lonsdale.

This is where Silicon Valley authoritarianism is heading:

Dems should fight on every front.

If Texas steals 5 seats, Dem states should redistrict 30 GOP members out of their districts.

We should insist DOJ release the entire Epstein File.

Not only shouldn't we bring knives to a gun fight, if they bring pistols, we should bring machine guns.

We are all at work in America's ruins. What once was is no more. As we battle our way to new terrain where we can rebuild, let us remember who—whether in their naïveté, lack of humility, ill-conceived ideas, or bad-faith argumentation—provided cover for Trump 2.0's devastations.

The same people demanding you present a photo ID to vote are perfectly fine with letting you be arrested, handcuffed & thrown into a van by armed men wearing plain clothes, face masks & presenting no identification of any sort.

This 100%. Trump bares responsibility for the political violence in our country.
"Trump has made clear over and over that he approves of violence done in his name, and that he believes that his enemies deserve to be physically harmed. That creates a permission structure in which MAGA supporters may feel that they can aid the cause through threats and violence."

Three things made the US a rich and powerful nation: the rule of law, its science & innovation system, and openness to foreign talent. Remarkable how Trump has taken a sledgehammer to all three. No enemy of this country could do more.

Trump to UAE president: "We have a term 'groceries.' It's an old term but it means basically what you're buying, food, it's a pretty accurate term but it's an old fashioned sound but groceries are down."

I wish more people understood that grants aren’t handouts. They are payments for services the government can’t provide without contracting with nonprofits & universities. We are out here doing the work of keeping people safe and the country functioning. The government needs us. The country needs us.

I'm just a poor country political historian and not some big city media fella, but it *does* seem like a slightly big deal that the leader of the United States presented comically faked "evidence" in the Oval Office to justify his power to disappear ordinary people into a Central American prison?
Personally, I think it should be front page news for at least a month if a sitting US President is using falsified evidence to try and deny due process to a man who has committed no crime, but that’s just me
