I quite enjoyed “Wuthering Heights”. It’s not the book. Obviously, because it’s a movie. I may have cried more than I wanted to. It excelled at its absurd gothic melodrama and worth your theater dollars. The cinematography was incredible and I could watch Elordi and Robbie read phone books.

ICE has had decades to become this harmful. If we are comparing ICE to Nazi Germany, then we also much admit that our collective culture in the US has been complicit with the agenda of the Nazis in America… for almost 25 years, atp.
ICE is currently holding around 80,000 detainees. Nazi Germany didn't reach this number in its formal camp system until 1942, nine years after seizing power and three years into the war.

i worked as a discharge planner on the surgery floor of a major metro hospital for 3 years. most surgeries aren't reversible, so this whole rhetoric is wild to me:

- can't put an appendix back in
- quadruple bypass? not reversible

fwiw, there's more regret with a nose job than top surgery so ????
The idea that top surgery is more extreme, more risky, than repeated inpatient hospitalizations or increasingly hard core psych meds is a fallacy.

No, the surgery may not be fully reversible. Neither are those other things.

Hmm. Subscribing to this you would get a virtual library card to the library of hell

or something like that...still thinking this through
still toying with this idea of a horror short story collection that acts like the old Amicus Horror Anthology movies, or Tales from the Crypt or Creepshow...where you have a horror host introducing each story, and this one is a ghoulish librarian

I think I might do this for Patreon, actually

I'm hardly the first person to note this, but it's enormously instructive that our President and his followers saw the message "THE ONLY THING MORE POWERFUL THAN HATE IS LOVE" and understood it, correctly, as an attack on them
What a moment.

Much like with Covid, I watch a whole lot of my supposedly progressive friends go blank eyed when I mention that his wife, his kids, and an entire plane crew agreed in depositions that he abused his family. Facts apparently do care about your entertainment.
Brad Pitt really did just get away with being a domestic abuser scott free
