Border Patrol Sector Chief Gregory Bovino and federal agents stop in front of artist Barbara Kruger's iconic mural outside of MOCA while waiting for a traffic light to change.

The mural reads, "Who is beyond the law? Who is bought and sold? Who is free to choose?"

Gonna take a break from here for a while. I’m hoping it helps to focus on things offline.

Make something, anything, a little bit better for someone today. A friend. A loved one. A stranger.

This isn't "fixable". Sorry.

But your job isn't to fix it and the fact that it's not fixable doesn't mean you have the option of not working.

Work.

Unless it's resolved while today's Wordle is still live, this streak is gone.

Here's a 🧵 with info on the picket line and how you can help. PLEASE READ — the rules may not be what you think!

Her shirt said “Run-DMC.” 😂

Robert Kagan, who resigned from WaPo:

“Trump waited to make sure that Bezos did what he said he was going to do, and then met with the Blue Origin people. Which tells us that there was an actual deal made, meaning that Bezos communicated, or through his people, communicated directly with Trump.”

I’m angry about the non endorsement. But I also value the journalism that the Post still does. So I’m figuring out how to cancel my Prime membership. That seems more to the point.
The @washingtonpost.com has lost 200,000 subscribers, @npr.org says.

I understand the anger; many in the newsroom are angry, too. But how many stories won't get reported, and how many journalists will lose their jobs, because of a decision they had nothing to do with?

200,000 subscribers desert 'Washington Post' after Bezos blocks Harris endorsement
Over 200,000 people canceled their subscriptions in the first few days following news that The Washington Post would not endorse any presidential candidate.

Oh hey, great time to reshare this since Trump said tonight he would let RFK Jr "...go wild on health. I'm gonna let him go wild on the foods. I'm gonna let him go wild on the medicines."

Maybe let's not fucking do that unless you want this to be the future of the US.
Never forget that RFK Jr. helped bring about an outbreak of measles in 2019, in Samoa, in which almost 6,000 people became ill and 83 died, most of which were young children.
How RFK Jr. Falsely Denied His Connection to a Deadly Measles Outbreak in Samoa
He also championed a Samoan anti-vaxxer tied to the 2019 lethal eruption that killed scores of children.
