I love when I can see the work in a piece of art. Practical effects in film, brush strokes on canvas, strange sounds in music, "impossible" visuals in games. It puts me in conversation with the artist. That's why - ethics aside - art created with AI is just so disappointing. There's no work to see.

For the record, war should be illegal.

The same goes for those last 5 episodes of Game of Thrones.
By the logic laid out by MaterCard, the Avengers, the Godfather and Game of Thrones are all now illegal.

Also every war, and many forms of disability.

Valve breaking silence on this is huge, they really dont do this. Companies, at this scale, dont -do this-.

Visa, mastercard, stripe and paypal are feeling the pressure. They are making mistakes under pressure.

Keep it up

The year is 2025. I right click on an AI-generated comment on my YouTube video to delete it, only the "Remove" button has been shifted down to make way for a button that generates video ideas based on the AI-generated comment.

This is hell.

The lackluster Donkey Kong redesign in Bananaza made me realize… Mario games character designs are same-y and kind of bland and sterile.

The interesting Mario characters designs are all made in spin-offs.

All I think about when I hear people say that it’s bad taste to dance on Hulk Hogan’s grave is that Emmett Till’s monument had to be replaced with a 500lb steel bulletproof monument because white people simply won’t stop riddling it with bullets. So now it just has tons of dents. From bullets.

Most of the internet used to be like this. This is actually the default, it took companies enclosing the internet and adding weird, soul-killing incentives to make people behave the way they do now. In a way, there is truly nothing special about Wikipedia except that it survived longer.
“Wikipedia is this economic anomaly. In many ways, it’s sort of magical that people will just volunteer without explicit economic incentives to create artifacts that are meant to share knowledge with everyone in the world”

Not 114. Not 104.

84.

He would be my uncle. Not great-great or great uncle. One of my parents' siblings. This is why we remember.
