Still thinking about Dave Hannon’s “Julia’s First Interview” installation at the Icebox Project Space. So, instead of recording a voiceover with more information, please just enjoy my friend Aubrie and I’s honest and real-time reaction to this wonderfully bizarre, thought-provoking piece!

Christmas on Kimball is a relatively new Philly holiday tradition. Started in 2017, this pedestrian-preferred attraction along Kimball Street between 8th and 9th in South Philly features dozens of oversized inflatables. Walk by with a hot chocolate and warm your heart this holiday season!

another remarkable life cut short by a cars and a lack of bike infrastructure. i remember coming across theartblog.org as a bored suburban high schooler trying to find out about cool events happening in the city. like citypaper it gave me a unique window into the world of philly's lively arts scene
Devastated to hear the news of Roberta Fallon’s passing. Her legacy in supporting & championing the artists of Philly is profound. Her work with Artblog transformed our art scene for the better. And I was truly looking forward to seeing what her next chapters would bring.

Roberta Fallon, artist, writer, and Artblog cofounder, has died at 76
She and fellow artist Libby Rosof handed out miniatures of their artwork to passersby in Center City for years, and she said in 2005: "We think art needs to be for everyone, not just in galleries.”

Spotted at 2nd and Spring Garden.

P.s. Healthcare should be a benefit of living in this county, like it is most other places. It’s not rocket science to create a system that covers everyone, it’s greed that prevents it.

Is Philly actually obsessed with a fictional movie character from five decades ago (Rocky), or do our local tourism companies just keep pushing this?

I think it’s time we retire the Rocky narrative!
