I remember in 2016 when talk of Mar a Lago as “the winter White House” was ramping up, and just how fully he Didn’t Get it in that equation.
Of course now I see that his interest is in the WH as the Mid-Atlantic Mar a Lago: something classic with history, refashioned into something gaudy and tacky.

BREAKING: DOJ goes to SCOTUS trying to stop a district court order that USDA pay out full SNAP benefits this month.
The First Circuit denied an administrative stay, but has not yet ruled on the stay request. And, CNN reported that USDA is already processing payments.

In the early 2000s, a group of writers wanted to write a parody of an oppressive, corporate fascist society, and this was the premise they chose because of the absurdity.
Her husband told her that detainees at Broadview had to get up at 5am to get in line for one bathroom. He often peed himself. One time he had to wait until 2pm to use the bathroom. You could only use the bathroom once a day. He said the agents would beat you if you used the bathroom on yourself.

The thing these guys don’t realize is that most people, including men, already do talk in private pretty much the same way they do in private, and they’re the exceptions.
