Controversial take but I agree that if you have even center left politics you should be barefoot wearing a barrel with suspenders. You should have a wallet with a single moth and nothing else in it. You should be slicing up a single bean paper thin and eating it slowly on a trash can lid

People know what they like, which is not the same as knowing what they want. Art pulls you out of your comfort zone and shows you something new.

Like a really neat Batman.
Were 90s kids clamoring for a Batman cartoon with 1930s Art Deco aesthetics? Is that what the market demanded? Or did some really smart creative people have a vision and make a genre-defining hit that sustained 20 years of TV shows? If you want success look for vision, not just metrics.

I swear not long ago I was reading excited headlines saying how close we were to almost maybe understanding what causes the disease… and now we’re here? What??
Wanna see real-life miracles? Fund scientific research.

A team of US scientists just cured Alzheimer’s in mice — and there is now hope that the disease can be reversed in humans.

My receiver died in spectacular fashion at 5AM. A capacitor blew (I think) and caused the speakers to blast out crackling static and other awful noises at full volume.

Needless to say the dog was not impressed and we were all confused and scared until we knew wtf was going on 🤣

The only surprising thing about the redactions so far is that they haven’t made some embarrassing mistake that makes the redactions trivial to undo.
Who in their right mind ever thought the most corrupt sleaziest scumbags on this planet were ever going to release a bunch of files making themselves look bad.
Like did you fall off a turnip truck yesterday?

The very moment you throw out the old cords because you “never need them” you WILL need them.

It has happened to me EVERY time.

It WILL happen again.
this is the greatest feeling, when the cord box proves its utility to a family member

If you’re going to watch this on Disney+, go to “extras” and watch the “extended” version of the movie. It has the deleted scene.

Or better yet, find the full movie literally anywhere else and flip Disney the bird.
Watching Muppet Christmas Carol with my niece on Disney+ only to find out they cut one of the most pivotal scenes in the movie.

What. The. FUCK.

I guess I’ll just pirate the correct version of the movie? Unbelievable.

I’ve started reading The Devils by Joe Abercrombie after putting it down earlier in the year. I’m listening to an audiobook this time and it’s a totally different experience, my brain just doesn’t pick up on humour when I read with my eyes!

Anyways, great book so far, highly recommend!

Okay, I like #MetroidPrime4, but my goodness it's a mess. The story (if you can call it a story) is nonsensical and the level design is a boring linear slog.

HOWEVER. It is also very pretty and it sounds amazing, and the design choices with the alien architecture were really inspired.

I can’t get over how Barbie succeeded because it offered tangible ways for women and girls to celebrate each other (and dress up and go to the movies together) but studios thought it worked because it’s about toys so now they’re making like Bananagrams the movie
