"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

my most woke belief is that most of the world's suffering stems from systems of inequity enforced with violence at the sadistic behest of an incurious & frightened elite; liberal democratic governments believe their responsibility is to provide them with labourers, and we can change it all today.

That's the thing about manufacturing consent and driving discourse for decades: people have stopped recognizing real, impactful oppression in their and others' daily lives so profoundly that any discussion of, and possible solutions to, it is considered too extreme.

I started up Notepad on my Windows laptop yesterday and it told me that it now has AI. Notepad. The simple little "look at a batch file and edit it" program that should be 200k long. Now with AI. The world has gone crazy.

With current pledges, the world's on track for 2.6°C of warming in 2100 compared to preindustrial levels.

10 years ago, before the Paris agreement, it was 3.6°C

20+ years ago, we thought it would be 4-5°C

So 2.6°C is better, but the problem is that climate impacts are way worse than we predicted.
World still on track for catastrophic 2.6C temperature rise, report finds
Fossil fuel emissions have hit a record high while many nations have done too little to avert deadly global heating

Seven *more* families?
And this is only the families who have the means to sue, and (critically) the families who FOUND OUT.

How many more vulnerable people has ChatGPT convinced? Will we ever know?

Fuck all this.

In one case, 23-year-old Zane Shamblin had a conversation with ChatGPT that lasted more than four hours.

kind of wild just how much of modern day living is millions of people saying “we don’t want this, it’s dumb, bad, and evil” and then like 10 dudes going “lol too bad” and then they get their way

I gotta give it up to the writers tho. If NYC elects a Muslim mayor on the day Dick Cheney died, that is one hell of a slow played story arc. Every time you want to fire 2025's writers room they give you a little narrative resolution as a treat.

There is no way to win this game. There is no behavior that will satisfy them.

You are either failing to live within your means, i.e., swearing off all frivolities like some sort of financial anchorite, or you are ruining the economy by not buying things.
“At the same time, more than half of Gen Z members say they are struggling to make ends meet, yet a majority buy themselves a small treat, such as a pastry, coffee, or sweet, at least once a week. That can lead to overspending…”

What we must all remember from the Gaza genocide is that the international system is rotten to its core and needs to be completely replaced.

We cannot accept a system where Western governments and leaders can commit genocide and war crimes with total impunity.

Israel isn't complying with the ceasefire agreement (letting in aid, releasing Palestinian hostages, simply not killing people) because the state doesn't want a ceasefire: it wants full liquidation.

Don't allow a complicit media to paint Palestinians at fault for their own genocide.

then someone explained it to me and that's when i knew it was a scam.
