#KlausDoldinger was considered Germany's "King of Jazz." As the composer of the "Tatort" theme tune and the film score of "Das Boot" or "Die unendliche Geschichte," he immortalized himself among an audience of millions. He has now died at the age of 89.

A very happy 79th birthday to Howard Shore!
Howard Shore, #BOTD in 1946, has scored over 80 films during his career, beginning in the 1970s.
With three Oscars and numerous other awards, Shore has taken his place as one of the preeminent film composers of his generation.

A birthday shoutout to composer Marco Beltrami.
Known for his scores for SCREAM and other horror films, he has a very wide range, and has worked with Guillermo del Toro, James Mangold, Kathryn Bigelow and others.
Emmy winner and Academy Award nominee Beltrami is 59 today.

I had no idea these were both by the same artist. RIP David Schleinkofer.
I'm saddened to learn that we lost David Schleinkofer earlier this week. He created lots of incredible sci-fi artwork, including the box art for SimCity 2000 and one of the most incredible pieces of Transformers art that many 80's kids still have seared into their brains.
