I always try to include a couple of widely recognizable movie scores each week. Which means I need to find a theme with a dozen good movie titles that fit the bill and then narrow it down to 5 movies: two "easy" ones, a medium difficulty, and two hard ones to identify.
I should demand a raise.

I spend more time dreaming up the theme for each week's game than I do editing the music.
This week's theme is, I think, a fun one.
On Saturday at 10am ET, play "What's the Score?" and let me know what you think.
Here's a list of some recent weeks' movie connections:

Imagine watching Sinatra, son of Dolly & Antonini born in Genoa & Sicily, respectively, and Martin, son of Gaetano & Angela, born in Montesilvano, Italy & Ohio respectively, (Angela to parents born in Monasterolo, Italy), and crusading against the value of children of immigrants to the U.S.

Movie Club wouldn't be Movie Club w/o the voice of @bilgeebiri.bsky.social, whose first post this year explores the cyclical nature of film storytelling. What does it mean to say a movie is "of the moment" when, as a remake, it's already been the movie of another moment?

When the @tgreiving.bsky.social bio of John Williams was released a couple of months back, my family said to me, "don't buy it, it's going on your Christmas list!"
I'm a patient fellow, so I deferred to them, and waited.

I explained, and then she looked at the front and back covers and was like, "Ok, I understand." #FilmSky #TCMParty
