The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Despite the propaganda (lies) spewed by so many including the show Landman, the average time it takes for a wind turbine to offset it's carbon footprint (construction, installation, maintenance, etc) is around 5 months. and a typical wind turbine typically generates energy for 25 years.

Thought experiment: what do you think would happen if your local police chief announced that henceforth, they would be shifting the majority of their resources to crack down on underage drinking. Three things would logically follow:

How much taxpayer money did MAGA spend on this bullshit case while shutting down the gov’t to starve people and take their health care away?

how much are WE spending to prosecute and fail to convict almost every single ICE protestor?

Perhaps this $ could go toward SNAP and health care subsidies.
🚨🚨🚨 The jury has reached a verdict. Sean Dunn, aka the DC Sandwich Guy, has been found NOT GUILTY of assault.

If I was a Republican member of Congress watching the results tonight, I’d ask myself if I really wanted my legacy to be: Guy who helped an aging pedophile suspend the constitution so he could enrich himself and his friends.

This right here. I'm so tired of do nothing, corporate owned leadership keeping the democratic party from supporting progressive candidates. It sucks living in a country where our practical choice is between far right or center right
The leadership of the Democratic Party has consistently opposed candidates who share my beliefs—even if they win competitive primaries.

We need to change the two party system so that more parties can be represented in Congress. The Democrats want our votes, but don’t represent us.
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

It’s fun thinking about how police would react if someone walked into the station claiming they’d been assaulted because someone threw a sandwich at their chest, and about how other cops think about this one acting like an assault victim because of a sandwich impact right on his bullet proof vest.
Border Patrol agent Lairmore testifies that he was not injured by the sandwich, but he felt the impact through his ballistic vest.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

"I could smell the onions and mustard."

Wait, did they edit an interview? Did they not air every second?

I heard that’s grounds for a multimillion lawsuit
I see that CBS chose not to air this part. It probably explains much of what they did decide to air.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 81st day out of the last 93.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.
