Pundits are missing that past shutdown fights there's been a general consensus that the basic functions of the govt operating are better than not, regardless of the ruling party.

seems like a datapoint about capitalism that being the richest guy on earth can’t buy you either class or love, dooms you to a cartoonishly impoverished imagination, attenuates your insecurities to an almost psychotic degree, and is just entirely compatible with being a worthless piece of shit
