Man, insurance that costs $3000 a month and doesn’t pay any of your healthcare costs until you pay almost $20k in deductibles seems like it’s designed to be too expensive for you to use.

And this is the cheap option, for the record.

Lots happening here but the villain of Beethoven is literally kidnapping dogs to test more lethal soft-tissue destroying bullets and Charles Grodin’s dream is to get new investors in his company but they turn out to be vulture capitalists.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

I'm a singular piece of a warship AI that escaped destruction then went on a 20 year mission to find a gun that can kill a god emperor that's waging a secret war against itself.

Ancillary Justice was great.
Unfortunately the last book I read was A Christmas Carol so I guess my job is Victorian loan shark

This is, unfortunately, I think pretty accurate. I would probably argue that the ultimate structural conditions weren't explicitly designed to do this but rather are a byproduct of the efforts to concentrate wealth at the top. There isn't thought put in to the consequences for those at the bottom.
Ok. Found a video with a better breakdown.

This seems exceptionally uncomplicated and anyone who tries to say otherwise is not serious.
Helping people that need help is moral and good but it’s no substitute for a robust public safety net funded by state redistribution of wealth.

ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.
