Heated Rivalry shows us that the most transportive, visionary, speculative future isn’t one that looks different from our reality. It’s one that feels different. It’s a difference that we as the audience can feel as if we’ve already lived in that world too.
Heated Rivalry and the Art of Anti-Dystopia
Joy in the present makes joy in the future seem plausible.

I just think it's so cute how at home my dog's ears face forward but when we go on a walk the backs rotate towards each other so that the receiver dishes are facing out like )(

Remember how there was this whole thing about needing to “understand” Trump voters but then it tuns out they just like voting for pedophiles and its pretty simple actually.

All the dudes complaining (white) women aren't having enough babies being in the Epstein files raises the question: for whom?

What did psychopaths even do before the invention of patriarchy and hierarchically stratified society? Like the Cucuteni–Trypillia culture existed from 5050 to 2950 BC in Southeastern Europe and had almost nonexistent social stratification. How did psychopaths even survive??

I wonder what taught him that degradation of women would be accepted.
Trump's constant degradation of female reporters is unsurprising but the press corps' collective decision to treat it as background noise is actually kind of sickening

one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things

There was no more open a border anywhere than for the men who traveled on Epstein's jets. People staring down at ground cant imagine what it's like up there, to have so much money you can simply transcend nations entirely. Yet they worry abt the imaginary line in their silly little dirt.

this whole thing is on Bezos, a perfect example of why billionaires will not save us

for years he supported the Post and then he decided destroying it utterly at the altar of a wannabe dictator better served his personal ambitions, so he did

institutions shouldn’t live or did at one man’s whim
WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington Post says one-third of its staff across all departments, not just the newsroom, is being laid off.

Everybody has it backwards.

Billionaires aren’t buying up these institutions to make money. They’re buying them to kill them. Same as the oligarchs destroying government and social programs and things like weather forecasting and regulatory bodies.

They’re creating a world they control completely

Apparently Bannon & Epstein were introduced the day after the Harvey Weinstein expose came out & they began plotting to destabilize the world order. The idea that men's oppression of women would inspire them to destroy the world is like invention of patriarchy 10-12k yrs ago level shit.
We are living in very deep history now. Not 80 year history, not 160 year history, not 250 year history. Much, much deeper than that.

Feeling is political.
A chaplain "said they were 'ordered to cease and desist in offering Pretti-related support and counsel to VA nurses'..A clergyperson said a supervisor claimed.. Pretti’s death was political and.. chaplains were given copies of the Hatch Act, which outlaws partisan activity by government employees.."

It happened so fast it made everyone's head spin in the legal profession—and no doubt caused the panic that led other firms to capitulate.

It never really made sense.
Paul Weiss was one of the first major law firms to bend the knee to Trump.

And, yup, connected to Epstein.
