NEW: The Trump admin just ended the practice of automatically extending work permits when people file to renew them — meaning that if USCIS takes too long to process a renewal the applicant loses their authorization to work legally.

The interim final rule applies to renewals filed after tomorrow.

A lot of comments on Mars rovers or Moon landings, but it's important to remember that the planet NASA studies most is Earth. This is less about cutting flashy things like moonwalks and more about keeping communities in the dark on climate, weather, agriculture, pollution, natural hazards, and more.

Catching up on a few earthquakes this evening. The M7.6 Drake passage earthquake yesterday appears to have been an intraplate strike slip faulting #earthquake , unlike the M7.4 earthquake a few months ago in the greater area, which was subduction related. ⚒️🧪
