Half my timeline is authors saying they can't make a loving and the other half is them warning about scams. Seems the scammers don't know about the "we have no money" thing. 😏 (But I guess they are playing on that desperation.)
This is genuinely scary now. The plausibility still falls apart like wet paper as soon as you look into it, but considering how far this scam has evolved in what, three months, I absolutely dread where we'll be by this time next year.

Seriously, the number of artists talking about how bad it is out there is unprecedented, and it's not like we've been quiet about it for the past, IDK, decade, at least. There are no day jobs out there for us to get, and the arts are paying less and less and/or being killed by AI.
