Can I tell you a secret? My least favourite part of NFNF is the publicity. I’ve told everyone how great it is, so it feels like nagging to tell you again.

If you all just subscribed we could stop this right now.

It is PROPERLY amazing, mind you 😉

I‘ve reached the ‘but I feel so young’ stage of life but a bit freaked out by absolute numbers. Then I found out I’m same age as Sue Perkins (my hero - 56 if you must know) and equilibrium has been restored

One thing that is true in this age of "AI" is that authenticity is going to be prized more than ever before. A single hand-scrawled sign is going have more impact than the smoothest "AI" image because the people seeing it knows it comes from someone's brain, not a tuned algorithm.

In 2023 I became obsessed with videos of dads in cargo shortswaiting in parking lots during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. So when she came to town, I grabbed a camera and headed down to talk to them. I thought it'd be funny. It turned out to be something else entirely.

Parts of England + Ireland are reaching the point of water stress - perilously close to not having enough water resources to meet demand, yet water firms have to be pushed, year after year, to take steps to address this. Explore water stress where you live on our map:

As we face a future where demand for water is set to exceed supply by 5 billion litres every day by 2055, we've uncovered documents showing regulators having to warn water companies repeatedly, over a period of years, that they need to take robust action to ensure the taps stay on.
"3 mn litres of drinking water are lost every day through leaking pipes + not a single new major reservoir has been built since privatisation...

Hookland is an odd county. Nowhere else in England has a tourist board happy to promote its haunted shoreline, boast of it including a record number of haunted light houses. A civic pride in phantoms is not the standard approach to encouraging day-trippers. – George Kindred

Last night tried out Hullabaloo Quire in Brighton, UK, and the amazing lead had us sing a three part harmony resistance song to send to Minnesota.

Because we can’t help directly but we can let you know we stand by you. We bear witness.

And hope we will be brave when our time comes
