The EPA has announced changes to the definition of Waters of the U.S. that leave critical systems supporting drinking water, floodwater storage, and biodiversity unprotected. Public comments on the changes are open until January 5, 2026.

UK Wind Power has fallen to 18.9GW this morning. With 0.2GW of Solar we are burning 5.3GW of Gas as well as importing 2,2GW. Hydro is 0.3GW. Nuclear is 3and the awful Biomass 3GW. The price of wholesale electricity over the past 24 hours was £85 per MWh. #renewables

The US attack on Venezuela is an illegal act of aggression against a sovereign country (with lots of oil). Venezuela has become a more deeply repressive dictatorship & urgently needs democratic solution but this is unjustified & unjustifiable. Look forward to seeing swift UK Government condemnation.

When I started building with straw, there were only a handful of people doing it. To put it mildly, universities had very limited interest in it. The problem is fossil gas, which is mostly composed of methane, is a gas, which means it leaks constantly: at wells, in pipelines and from gas cookstoves in people’s homes.
