TurboTax is about to be integrated into ChatGPT, where customers will be guided through tasks tied to their tax filings or financial profile by the AI chatbot.

TurboTax owner Intuit is also paying OpenAI more than $100 million a year to power AI agents.

The only thing that anyone ever needs to know about Bill Ackman is that he once joined a group of avid long distance bikers from NYC to Montauk and back without training or preparation, arrogant in his ability to "lead the pack" and ended up screaming in agony
The others fell in behind, at first struggling to keep up with the alpha leader. But soon enough Ackman faltered—at Mile 32, Ackman recalls—and fell way behind the others. He was clearly “bonking,” as they say in the cycling world, which is what happens when a rider is dehydrated and his energy stores are depleted. While everyone else rode back to Loeb’s East Hampton mansion, one of Loeb’s friends, David “Tiger” Williams, a respected cyclist and trader, painstakingly guided Ackman, who by then could barely pedal and was letting out primal screams of pain from the cramps in his legs, back to Bridgehampton. “I was in unbelievable pain,” Ackman recalls. As the other riders noted, it was really rather ridiculous for him to have gone out so fast, trying to lead the pack, considering his lack of training. Why not acknowledge your limits and set a pace you could maintain? As one rider notes, “I’ve never had an experience where someone has gone from being so aggressive on a bike to being so hopelessly unable to even turn the pedals…. His mind wrote a check that his body couldn’t cash.”

I'm oddly cheered up in seeing that Ozzy is being remembered mainly for his music, and not for "bit off a bat's head" or "family a reality TV train wreck." Dude contained multitudes, and the focus seems to be on the right thing.

The editorial board took numerous shots at you and your tenure as mayor. What’s your response? It felt like the New York Times didn’t understand New York City. It was this strangely conservative law-and-order, traditionalist view that totally missed the reality of the city today. My view is people are hurting and affordability is the issue and the Times just does not understand what everyday people are going through. They’ve disconnected from New York City more and more with every passing year. Obviously, they decided they didn’t care enough about New York City to make an editorial endorsement and then they show up with this wimpy, disingenuous editorial basically justifying why people should vote for someone corrupt in Andrew Cuomo, and not even recognizing that other new leaders had worthy ideas. I mean, the whole thing was like, “Let’s invalidate new young leaders,” right? It was unbelievably ageist and out of touch. I was immediately transported back to 2013 when they said in their editorial when I was running for mayor that my ideas, like Pre-K for All, were impossible. They were absolutely dismissive, and their whole attitude was, Big bold ideas can’t happen, so why vote for someone who wants to change things? And I feel what they have become is sort of a parody of the status quo. They, in their own curmudgeonly way, just tell people to swallow hard and accept the unacceptable. If you talk to everyday New Yorkers, as I do all the time, you know that people really, really can’t stand the status quo in the city. But it’s not because they want to go back to some good old days of strongman leaders. It’s that they think their leaders don’t care about them, aren’t helping address the extraordinary pain they’re going through and the challenge of making ends meet.
