I'm Chris Tihor, a game writer and designer, and founder of @ironiciconicstudios.ca. I've worked on a bunch of things but may be best known for working on Nancy Drew and Poirot games. More recently I worked on Monaco 2 and (the sadly cancelled) Life by You.

On Monday, we published this investigation into "Exiles of the Golden Age," a fascist conference in Vancouver this July.
We identified 18 of the 50+ people our photographer captured outside the venue, including small business owners and neo-Nazis.

We've tried increasing police budgets and that hasn't helped with the unhoused. Maybe we should spend the money on housing instead?
Here's a thread with an annual reminder that VicPD is overfunded and overstaffed. VicPD likes to say it's a special exception as a "downtown" police force, but they cost more per capita than every other department in B.C., including Vancouver. #yyj 🧵

I legitimately think this article misses the mark, because Canadians are not avoiding travel out of some principled boycott of the USA over tariffs.

The best bike for getting exercise is the one that you will actually ride.
Regardless of which bike is better, faster, ridden more often or farther, all bikes are great exercise, fun and make our cities better.

I'm gonna interpret this as I should assume Nexon will be using AI and therefore never buy any of their or their subsidiaries' games.

If you don't want to have to deal with having a well-paid professional workforce, maybe don't make video games?
the level of wishcasting is astonishing, they really believe they have a magic fairy dust they can sprinkle over a game production and it'll make huge chunks of the workforce redundant

GDC needs to know this, maybe some talks could go online live with enough feedback? Maybe they could even lobby? Who knows!

This is amazing. I recently started playing Pathfinder: Kingmaker again using turn-based mode and loved it. So I reinstalled PoE to see if they had added turn-based mode too. They hadn't. Imagine my surprise seeing this announcement.
Obsidian has announced that Pillars of Eternity's upcoming turn-based combat mode will be available through a public beta on Steam and Xbox on PC from November 5 with updates rolling out to prepare for the full release: www.rpgsite.net/news/18879-p...
