Starting up my year in games thread. Maybe I'll play some other than just college football but probably not. New year, new shit, though!

Genuinely the only thing keeping me going—but it really is keeping me going—is how good it is to see people link arms and push for this to end.

I cannot stop thinking about how much love people can have for their neighbors, and how much work and money is poured into breaking that love apart.

Alex Pretti was an intensive care nurse in the Veterans Administration Health Care system.

“He felt that doing the protesting was a way to express his care for others,” his dad said.

I agree that no one deserves to die at the hands of cops, even if they are a suspected violent criminal. But I also think that it’s worth hammering that they killed someone who worked as an ICU nurse at the VA. There are still a hundred million Americans who are on the fence or don’t care.

Bare fucking minimum if they commit to this but we'll take what we can get
Both of Nevada's senators--Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen--have officially come out against the DHS funding bill following the execution of Alex Pretti by ICE agents in Minneapolis this morning. This effectively ends the DHS funding bill in the Senate.

Kyle Rittenhouse was on Infowars the day after the Renee Good shooting saying he had heard on X that Renee was putting cigarettes out on her kids. This wasn't true. This is a government by and for school shooters and their apologists.
Remembering how cops tossed Kyle Rittenhouse - who was open carrying a semiautomatic rifle - a bottle of water and told him, “We appreciate you… we really do”

Today’s assault and murder makes me even more angry at all the “don’t take the bait let’s turn the temperature down” rhetoric from state leaders. We can’t just let them murder people like this

I hate this shit. Yes, it's imperfect and has been used for bad quite a bit. But it also does successfully prosecute criminals all the time. Like every single day, murderers get charged with murder and get found guilty and go to jail.
America doesn’t use its legal system for the people never has never will.

"uWu please stop killing my citizens"
"Lol Tampon Tim heh bye"
I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.

I'm watching the run of ER since The Pitt got me in the medical procedural mood and while I don't think the Crichton's widow lawsuit has that much merit, I did just see babyface Noah Wyle and yelp "Baby Dr. Robby!" So maybe it does have merit.

lol this did not happen. Johnson was born a year before Roe v. Wade in a state that didn't even have a "life of the mother" abortion exception. this took five seconds of research to find out.
