Got a memory today of when I took Thing 3 to Drag Queen story time 2 yrs ago. Great event! Unfortunately, the next DQ Story time, a bunch of brown-shirt bootlickers who call themselves “Proud” boys assaulted several people. Took Parks months but we brought DQ Story time back. Sadly, this is why Democratic leaders needed to act when the iron was hot — to lead, get out on the streets, and mobilize public opinion.

Sometimes very hard not to feel like the rest of the country has abandoned Minnesota. We STILL have ICE everywhere. Our schools, businesses, and economy are in profound crisis. But without Bovino here throwing tear gas, much of the country seems to not care at all what’s being done to us.

Republicans could just agree to some form of proportional representation, where the number of seats vaguely equals a party’s percentage of the vote. But they will loose power under such a system - & likely be forced to address problems like gun control favored by large majorities - so they resist.

The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced the Democrats have to push their hand immediately. The parallels with the delays and subsequent failures after January 6th are blaring warning signs about what will happen if they don’t go after the issues with ICE and CBP at the root RIGHT NOW.

Please! They’re finding that even though subclade K evades many immune defenses, hospitalizations among children especially are still mostly kids who weren’t vaccinated. theyre finding vaccination still slows community spread and is reducing illness severity. GET VACCINATED.
according to a thing I read this morning, only 1/4 of eligible people in my state got the flu vaccine so far, and now a 4-year-old died of the flu. Please get vaccinated if you can!

One basic pattern here is that DHS officials are engaging in violence simply because they are irritated at citizens protesting them. There is no plausible threat of violence here. He just wants to inflict pain, and believes there will be no penalty for doing so.
Big clash this afternoon between DHS agents and protesters in a residential street in Minneapolis, following a DHS agent hitting another vehicle. Tear gas was deployed in people’s yards and agents pepper prayed people.
