7 months ago today I bombed that kids hospital in Kiev. But as Trump says, "it's what anyone would do".

There are, of course, a thousand things going on in parallel, but I think this, by @davidfrum.bsky.social, goes a long way to explaining the relish and sheer nastiness of that Oval Office meeting. ~AA

a caller rings the @jeremyandstormon5.bsky.social to explain how difficult it is to claim ESA/PIP, her condition & it's effects. the next caller (backed up by the panel) pretty much says: 'she sounded okay on the phone so she's able to work full-time'

I guess he won’t want a state visit to “some random county” then.
"Some random country that hasn't fought a war in 40 years..."

Over 500 dead British and French personnel (more than 1,000 total European fatalities) and c10,000 injured in Afghanistan 2001-2021. The only time Article 5 has been invoked.

A truly vile decision, giving the lie to all Trump’s claims that he is horrified by the killing in Ukraine. Apparently he’s fine with the Russians doing the killing, but is determined to stop Ukraine striking back. Europe must wake up to how serious this is, not just for UA but for its own security.
The total cut off of deliveries to Ukraine is shockingly punitive. This is money already spent, equipment already built by industry for Ukraine, much of it has little utility to the US military. And it is just going to be sitting there in warehouses idle, as Ukrainian forces fight on.

Btw even when musk talks about working around the clock it's part of this myth, he's just saying "oh it's hard for you to do, but for me it's second nature." But like, he doesn't work. He never learns any new skills or has breakthroughs, he just stays up all night dming rw influencers & doing drugs
So far the gaming community is really the first to comprehensively debunk the central musk myth that "what's incredibly difficult and time-consuming for normal people is trivially easy for me" and I assume that's partly because the consequences for that imploding elsewhere are too high
Genuinely appalling and revealing how much more thorough, thoughtful and well-researched the videogame speedrunning community has been in evaluating Elon Musk's claims than the tech press or DC political press youtu.be/z1ykCc588Zw?...

This is Winston Churchill visiting the White House during World War II.

Funny how he isn’t wearing a suit either. Almost like he was a wartime leader defending his country from being slaughtered and wiped out by an authoritarian aggressor.

What’s interesting about the Oval Office fiasco is that it was Trump who repeatedly claimed during the campaign that he would end the war in ‘24 hours’ and that he was a master negotiator.

Did the guy sulking, then berating Zelensky, then kicking him out, look or sound like a master negotiator?
