Good literary translation requires understanding (language, culture, genre--on both sides of the translation) and an ability to write well. "AI" can't do that. There are no shortcuts. Treat your work and foreign language readers with the respect they deserve. You won't fool anyone with this.

If there is a place for generative AI, that place is nowhere near my books. Ones I write and ones I buy.
I will never use AI for my covers, editing, translation, or anything else. It is not only useless to me as an author, it is actively hostile and harms every skill related to book production.
If you're an author against AI used to generate writing, you better back everyone else in the chain too.

I would say most Chaotic Plotter but depending on the story could end up anywhere on the Plantser and Plotter spectrum. Longer works tend to turn me into a Lawful Plotter or Lawful Plantser a lot of the time.

I loved Darius as genderbent Elphaba & Morgan as Fiyero so much that I went & made a picrew. I DID have to tweak the skin tones (they didn't have a good green for Darius, & Morgan's coloring wasn't available in the original picrew) but with a little Photoshop, I give you THIS! 😍 #LGBTQWriteAThon
