#WIPSnips Short one today because the bit immediately after is going to be edited into the ground. 🫠 But Mick's always known adventuring wasn't all glory and excitement. He just didn't realize the unemployment rate was *that* bad.

#queerwriters Massively interrupted by work. :'D Like, three days of over 12 hours at the work computer, combined with lack of motivation = only about 2086 words, a chunk of which is about to be rewritten. It gave me perspective on why this book still isn't finished, though.

#FaveLineFriday Admittedly didn't get much progress in this week (it's been . . . an interesting one), but I *did* get to tweak and insert one of my favorite jokes I've written for TNS.

Context: Eleanor tries to convince Mick everything will be fine.
Eleanor clicked her tongue. “If you have to bring realism into it, then fine. A basilisk. We’ll hunt basilisks and sell off their tusks. Or perhaps save a small village from a particularly nasty one with fangs the size of my forearm. You’ll deal the landing blow, and women will throw themselves at your feet.” “Pfft. Sure.” “Fine. My feet.” “I thought we were bringing realism into this.” “First of all, rude. Second, wow, gods forbid a woman dream.”
