We recommend reading this ERT story for a complete retelling of that day's events. Community members were terrified as they witnessed agents detain three people, and they report Donahue told them to "stand back or I'll fucking shoot you" just in response to them recording him.

NEW: Evanston has released video + reports surrounding a 10/31 incident where a CBP agent threatened to shoot people + another beat a handcuffed man.

We found some disturbing X posts from one of the feds, also seen in other viral videos. His name is Timothy Donahue, and it's now public record:

NEW: Sean Duffy frequently calls safety his “top priority” as transportation secretary. But I spent months wading through regulatory notices and found something far different: that USDOT has been delaying, weakening and killing dozens of safety rules, many opposed by the transportation industry.🧵

Good morning. Federal prosecutors in Chicago have moved to dismiss another case tied to Operation Midway Blitz. This time it's the case of Dana Briggs, which had been set for trial 12/8.

Briggs had U.S. Border Patrol Cmdr. Greg Bovino on his witness list.

The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

Using IL SOS data and public curb weight data, if Chicago changed its residential permit charge from $25 to a weight-based system, it could bring in an additional $151-167MM/year when

>2500lbs = $25
2.5k-2.99k = $40
3k-3.49k = $62.5
3.5k-3.99k = $75
4k-4.49k = $105
4.5-4.99k = $160
5k+ = $200

Here in Broadview, outside Chicago, a large group of faith leaders & protesters have gathered this morning outside of ICE’s detention center.

This looks like one of the largest protests on Beach St. in weeks, where the city of Broadview is still enforcing a small “free speech” zone. It’s packed.

Turning off replies because I'm not interested in debate.

I'm right.

Also, don't tell me that the state cops protect us from ICE when I was personally brutalized by ICE in the presence of a mob of state cops. Police do not protect protesters. That's simply not how they exist in relation to us.

Alderman Sigcho-Lopez was right to call out Pritzker today about the state police arresting protesters. Pritzker responded that the state police are protecting protesters, and that just isn't true. State cops have arrested and brutalized protesters to facilitate ICE operations. That's reality.

Stocking a makeshift pantry from your porch? Cooking meals for those in need? Hosting food drives?

We want to hear about it. Please DM us here or email joe@blockclubchi.org.
